A-Choired Taste, The Scenic Rim Community Choir, was formed in February 2008 to provide an opportunity for people to sing together. Singing lifts the spirits and makes us happy. Everyone is welcome. We are an open choir (no auditions necessary), you just need the desire to sing and you can attend as and when you are able. And don't worry, no one has to sing alone. Whether you are an accomplished performer, or a bathroom baritone, we will welcome you.
A-Choired Taste performs a variety of music styles from folk songs like "The Irish Blessing", "Wild Mountain Thyme" and "River River"; as well as easy listening pieces like "Lean On Me", "Blue Moon" and "In the Still of the Night". We also sing capella arrangements (no accompaniment). The choir has performed at many community events such as the Anglican Spring Fair, The Drumley Walk, The Australia Day Citizenship Ceremony, Anzac Day (Beaudesert), Carols in the Park (Beaudesert), Canungra Christmas Carols, Kooralbyn Christmas Carols, Wongaburra Happy Hour and the opening of the Ruth Westerman Rotunda.
A-Choired Taste meets every Thursday night at The Centre, Brisbane Street, Beaudesert. Cost is $5 per week (or $3 for concessions) plus BAMS annual membership - $25.
