The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee
BAMS Theatre is bringing the Tony-award winning 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee to The Centre Beaudesert in September 2017, inviting you to follow 6 quirky contestants and 4 wild-card entries in their quest to become the champion of the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.
The contestants are eager to win for very different reasons and run the gamut from shy and quiet Olive (Katya Bryant); obnoxious William (Daniel McNamara); returning champion Chip (Lachlan Clark); home-schooled Leaf (Carly Skelton); overachiever Marcy (Skyah Fishpool); to politically aware Logainne (Lauren Conway). They share their hopes, dreams and struggles as the competition intensifies.
The spellers are joined on stage by comfort counsellor and community service-performing Mitch (Connor Bryant), and hosts Rona (Karen Mayfield) and Vice-Principal Panch (Ian "The Bear" Maurice).
Our talented cast is rounded out by Jarryd Pianca, Sarah McNamara, Jordan Teese, Bec Teese, Lesley McDonald and Jess Stone.
With hilarious honesty, touching moments and catchy songs, each speller reveals their hopes, struggles, and passions as they make their way through the competition.
This show contains adult themes.
The evening performances of 15 and 16 September are strictly adults only traditionally known as Parent-Teacher Conferences.
